He told MEDIAFAX that the party will definitely hold a rally in Targoviste, Dambovita this week, while the Bucharest manifestation would be organized at the Romexpo events center in northern Bucharest.
“We will organize a rally next week, but it is not set in stone. We will decide tomorrow (Wednesday, ed.). The rally in Targoviste on Sunday is settled (…) If we will organize it, there will be approximately 120,000 participants only from around here, southern counties at Romexpo,” Stefanescu told MEDIAFAX.
However, Stefanescu added that if party’s campaign analysis will show that the rally in Bucharest is not opportune or that there will be difficulties in mobilizing a large number of participants, they will give up on the idea.
The social democrats held rallies in Iasi and Galati last week, where anti-government protesters were involved in small-scale incidents with PSD sympathizers.
