Authorities found the stolen ammunition Monday in an abandoned warehouse in Chitila, just outside capital Bucharest.

The sources said they found three of the containers stolen sealed and one opened and all the warheads have been recovered.

Military prosecutors on Monday questioned over 50 people involved in the transport and have started criminal investigations against several of them.

Four containers holding a total 80 warheads made by Romanian factory Tohan Zarnesti were stolen from a train that was delivering them to Bulgaria. The ammunition was reported missing in the Giurgiu station, close to the border.

The Bulgarian Defense Ministry said Sunday, cited by Novinite.com, the warheads stolen Saturday were for a private Bulgarian company, not for the Bulgarian Army.
