One Queue To File All Romanian Social Security Contribution Statements

Employers in Romania will be able to file statements on contributions to the unemployment aid fund and social pension fund either with the local Pension House or Employment Agency, and won’t have to wait in line twice, Bucharest Pension House Cristiana Dumitrache said Friday.

According to Dumitrache, the presidents of the National Pension House and National Employment Agency issued a joint order which said contributions can be filed an paid in a single place, either pension houses or employment agencies, to avoid crowds and queuing twice.

Dumitrache also said employers can even send the statements on social security contributions through post or e-mail, and pay via bank transfer or money order.

The Bucharest Pension House received 7,250 statements on social security contributions between August 20 and September 17, according to Dumitrache, while Bucharest Employment Agency head Adriana Iorga said employers filed around 18,000 statements on unemployment fund contributions in July and around 3,000-4,000 in August.
