Romanian Leu Opens Lower Vs Euro

The leu opened at RON3.8400/RON3.8450 against the euro, down from Wednesday’s closing value.

Then, at around GMT 0715, the leu was trading at RON3.7980/RON3.8030 to the euro, a trend similar to that of currencies on emerging markets, dealers said.

On the money market, overnight rates were at 11.77%-12.70% on the year.

Wednesday, the leu closed at RON3.8040/RON8070 against the euro, lower compared with RON3.8000/RON3.8200 in the previous session.
