Also, IRIS will change name into Apcom Romania by the end of the year.

"The first quarter was difficult and from an initial sales growth by 60%, we revised this year’s target at 10% or 20%. In 2008, IRIS sales to local partners amounted to EUR13 million, but a final result will be released this month, after the audit completion," the company’s general manager Nikolai Savov said.

IRIS’ marketing manager Zsolt Kadar said the rebranding decision was grounded on the company’s turnover growth, as well as on the decision of the Lebanese group MDS Holdings, which IRIS is part of since 1998.

Apcom Group, Budapest-based, was set up in 1987 and re-launched its operations in the spring of 2009. It retails IT products in the region.

In 2008, Apple turnover was up 35%, at $32.4 billion.
