Of 1,900 square meters, 500 square meters host restaurants, other 400 square meters host a store that sells household appliances, another 400 square meters host a football court, while the remainder 600 square meters host open bars and restaurants.
The spaces belong to the company Orhideea Contur SA owned by Florea Pelmus and, although fined, the company failed to have its illegal constructions pulled down.
The authorities said the company was notified in 2006 to pull down its illegal constructions and restore green spaces.
The Bucharest authorities took these measures, as they plan to restore green spaces.
