Romania Gets Yellow-Code Weather Warning For Rain, Thunderstorms

The warning was issued for counties Maramures, Satu Mare, Bihor, Salaj, Bistriţa-Nasaud, Cluj, Mures, Alba-Iulia, Hunedoara, Sibiu, Brasov, Prahova, Dambovita, Arges, Teleorman, Olt, Valcea, Gorj, Dolj, Mehedinti and Caras-Severin.

The quantity of rain is expected to exceed 30-35 liters per square meter and even 60-70 liters per square meters in some areas.

"Thunderstorm and hailstorms are expected in mountain areas starting Monday night,” the meteorological authority said.
