Serbian president Boris Tadic is expected Thursday in Bucharest for a meeting with Romania’s Chamber of Deputies speaker Bogdan Olteanu, the Chamber said in a press release Wednesday.

Serbian President Boris Tadic Expected In Bucharest Thursday

The president’s office has not yet confirmed Tadic’s official visit to Bucharest.
 
Romanian President Traian Basescu said Monday after discussions with parliament party leaders that Romania maintains its stand and will not recognize the self-proclaimed independence of Serbia’s breakaway province of Kosovo, on grounds such as the granting of collective rights to minorities and non-observance for Serbia’s territorial integrity.
 
The Romanian Parliament Monday evening adopted a declaration 357 to 27 votes, stating the country will not recognize independent Kosovo.
