Romania Confirms Three New Cases Of AH1N1 Flu, Toll Reaches 44
The patients are two men aged 30 and 26 respectively and a 26 year-old woman, are being treated at the “Matei Bals” infectious diseases hospital in Bucharest.
The Health Ministry added that a group of British students infected with AH1N1 that came to Romania’s eastern city of Iasi to work on a social project were flown back to the U.K. on a special flight Friday. On Saturday, the remaining 11 students and two teachers also left for London on a special flight.
The number of swine flu cases confirmed in Romania so far has reached 44.
According to the most recent toll of the World Health Organization, the virus has so far infected nearly 90,000 people in 125 countries and caused the death of 328 people.
