The short films displayed in the launch will include "Sentimental Journey," directed by Nagi Joda (Japan), "She loves me, she loves me not," directed by Jamie Rafn (UK) and "On s'embrase" directed by Pierre Olivier (France), according to the organizers.
After the screening of the films, which will last an approximate hour and a half, there will be a party with DJ TRG and DJ Seb.
In the future, the event will also present Romanian short films. Romanian short film producers will be able to register their films at futureshorts.com.
The next event will take place on May 22, in Bucharest, while on May 24 there will be the first event organized outside Bucharest, in Timisoara, western Romania.
The Future Shorts platform plans one event for each month. Launched in 2003, in Great Britain, Future Shorts developed a network that allows film producers to be present within the widest platform of distribution and display in the entire world.
Future Shorts is known to producers, to the movie industry and media as a niche festival. Aside form the fact that it is a monthly event unfolding in the entire world, Future Shorts is also a distributor, agent, consultant and DVD label.
Future Shorts, which operates in some 25 countries, including some 15,000 participants every month, redefined the concept of short film in the international cinematography culture.
