Small-Scale Aircraft Makes Emergency Landing in Harghita County

A small-scale aircraft spreading anti-rabies substances near the Maldarasi Peak area made an emergency landing in Harghita county on Thursday, with both members of the crew escaping without serious injuries.

According to the emergency call filed in after the incident, the plane caught fire after the landing.

Both the pilot and co-pilot are conscious and have not suffered serious wounds, but will be examined by medical teams on site, according to Romania’s General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU).

An emergency services helicopter was also dispatched in the area to recover the two crew member, but could not land in the area of the crash.
