After the motion was enacted, Senate president Nicolae Vacaroiu said all requests made in the motion are compulsory and need to be observed by the Government.
PSD and PC ask that the government take immediate measures to protect citizens with average and minimum wages and to find means to compensate expenses with dwellings’ maintenance for citizens who barely have enough money to survive.
Both parties also ask the Government to negotiate with the Russian Federation lower prices for gas, crude oil and coal.
ANRE said in January that household natural gas prices would be hiked by 8.5% February 1, to adjust the local gas prices with the higher prices for imported gas, while the price of natural gas from domestic production rose 5%.
The Government should also draft a plan fighting poverty and reports on the health status of the young generation, according to the motion.
The text of the motion reads that the government has to finalize the strategy in the energy field by observing the new laws in the field and weather changes all throughout the European Union.
The document reads that the Tariceanu- Basescu leadership will remain in history as an example of lack of performance in managing public policies.
