Romanian May Industrial Producer Prices +16.8% On Year

In May, manufacturing prices rose 19.6% on the year, while mining industry prices rose 11% on an annual basis. Prices in the energy sector rose 3% on the year in May, the institute said.

Industrial producer prices rose 1.7% on the month in May, compared with the monthly rise of 1.1% in April. Prices in the manufacturing sector rose 2.2% on the month in May, energy prices were up a slight 0.1%, while prices in the mining sector were down 1.4%.

Producer price data are preliminary and include domestic and foreign market prices.
