Son Of Late Romanian Dictator Reclaims Return Of Family Property

Valentin Ceausescu, son of the late Romanian communist dictator Nicolae Ceausescu, filed a complaint in court regarding the non-observance of a court ruling last year which set the return of his family’s possessions, confiscated during the December 1989 revolution.

Ceausescu’s lawyer, Radu Antal, said the case could become problematic, as some of the respective goods might be declared “gone” and “missing”. Antal said he cannot estimate when the court would look into his client’s complaint.
 
"We want the ruling to be observed. This is not a routine request, so we cannot tell how long it will take. The law imposes no deadlines," Antal said.
