"I believe Romania has a high potential in increasing Sony's local operations. We hope 2011 will be a good year for the local IT&C market," Nakashima said in a statement Monday.
Nakashima, currently country head Eastern Balkans&Romania, Sony Central and Southeast Europe, has started his career in the company 14 years ago.
In 2010, he was named Country Head for the Eastern Balkans area. As of 2011, he will coordinate Romania, alongside the Eastern Balkans region.
