Last year, after contract renegotiations, Hidroelectrica sale prices rose from an average of 81 lei (EUR1=RON4.1411) per MWh to RON120/MWh.

„Hidroelectrica renegotiated the energy selling contracts for almost one year. (…) Hidroelectrica now sells energy at an average price of RON120 per MWh, compared to RON81 per MWh,” Videanu said.

State-owned Hidroelectrica is Romania’s cheapest power producer.
