Steaua Reaches Third Preliminary Round In Europa League After Victory Over Ujpest FC

Steaua had scored two goals in the home match on July 16.
 
Midfielders Szekely and Rafael Grzelak scored for Steaua in the 59th and the 66th minute.
 
Ujpest’s first goal came in the 81st minute, when Vasko Tamas scored with his head following a corner.
 
Steaua players Petre Marin and Carlos Toja are suspended over number of yellow cards.
 
The second half of the match began after a 15 minutes’ delay over crowd trouble.
 
The conflict between the fans broke out after the first half, with the Hungarians throwing fireworks at Steaua’s fans, who in their turn tore chairs and threw them at the opponents.
 
Prior to the match, two Romanian fans were taken to the police for attempting to enter the stadium with fireworks, colonel Gheorghe Stan told MEDIAFAX.
 
He told GspTV that six Steaua fans were injured at break time and three of them were taken to hospital.
 
Steaua will meet Scottish team Motherwell on July 30 in Bucharest. The second-leg match is scheduled for August 6.
