According to the local police inspectorate in Bistrita, the violent impact between the dump truck, run by a 21-year old man, and the minibus carrying 20 commuters, killed two people instantly and seriously injured other twelve.
Eight ambulances rushed the victims to the local hospital in Bistrita, but a woman died on the way to the hospital, rising the death toll to three.
According to police officer Roberto Hasnas, the driver of the dump truck got into the opposite lane and crushed into the minibus.
