According to Manasia, heavy fog delayed Carpatair flights on routes Chisinau, Lvov, Otopeni, Cernauti, Sibiu, Craiova, Bacau, Iasi, Odessa and Cluj, of which, seven flights were detoured towards central city of Sibiu and other three flights couldn’t take off from their origin airports.

Bad weather also delayed other eleven Carpatair flights towards Dusseldorf, Athens, Stuttgart, Rome, Bergamo, Florence, Verona, Bari, Venice, Munich and Ancona, which were due to take off from Timisoara airport.

Manasia said heavy fog lowered surface visibility to 200 meters, which makes it impossible for aircrafts to take off and land.
