Romanian Presidents Wishes Olympians Good Luck In Beijing

Romanian President Traian Basescu on Saturday attended the presentation ceremony of the Beijing-bound athletes, wishing them good luck for the Olympic Games starting August 8.

Basescu assured the athletes of his love and of the love and support of all Romanians.

“I believe that, after the Olympics, (Romania’s) dowry will increase due to your efforts. I believe the games will bring you respect and glory,” Basescu told athletes and coaches.

Basescu handed the athletes Romania’s flag for the Beijing Olympics and said it will be his pleasure to attend the games’ opening festivity by their side.

The Olympians presented Basescu with a team jersey.
