Basescu also said during the National Conference of the Alliance of Employer Confederations in Romania that he assumed responsibility for this ruling coalition after he realized that all previous political structures failed, stressing he wants to believe this coalition can reform Romania indeed.
Moreover, the head of state highlighted that if the members of the coalition fail to reform the country, then, they will be labeled as a useless political majority capable only of sharing high positions.
Basescu said Romania must follow a new and modern path, adding Romanians are entitled to a revised Constitution and lower bureaucratic procedures.
He also spoke about a law regulating public sector wages and stressed the government must assume responsibility for this law in front of Parliament.
