Old Apartment Prices In Bucharest Dn Avg 12% In 2Q

"The average price of an old apartment in Bucharest reached EUR119,000 in the second quarter of 2008, registering a decrease of 12% from the first quarter of the year,” MagazinulDecase.ro said in a statement.

The deepest price decrease, of 13%, was registered on the segment of two-room apartments, which reached an average price tag of EUR119,100 in the second quarter.

Studio flats and three-room apartments saw the lowest price decreases, of 10%. The average price of a studio flat lowered to EUR78,160 from EUR86,500, while the average price of a three-room apartment lowered to EUR159,800 in the second quarter from EUR177,000 in the first quarter.

Launched end 2006, MagazinulDeCase is an online service promoting home property sale offers. In 2007, the website reported a turnover of some 300,000 lei (EUR1=RON3.5794) from fees charged for the listing of properties. The fees range from RON119 to RON450, and the website currently lists some 3,000 pieces of property.
