Adomnitei said most of the buildings are located in Ardeal region, western country.
“There are situations, especially in Ardeal, in which many renowned high schools operate in buildings that used to belong to various cults; since we cannot relocate these high schools outside the cities, the only solution is to buy them. Under the law, the new owners are compelled to rent the buildings to the Ministry of Education for five years after the retrocession, but the rents are too high and local authorities usually cannot afford them. And this is where the government gets involved,” Adomnitei said.
