Romanian Auto Market Heads for Fifth Year of Growth

In January-October, vehicle sales in Romania grew 20.1% on the year, to 153,105 units.

On the European market, October was the second month running of decreases in vehicle sales (-7.3%). In January-October, vehicles sale sin Europe grew 1.6% on the year.

Growth in Romania was mainly driven by sales to companies, accounting for 61% of total sales in January-October, but sales to individuals grew 35.6% on the year in the first ten months, to 37,453 units.

Imports of used cars dropped 8.6% on the year in October and 8.4% in the first ten months.
