Petrom, majority owned by Austria’s OMV AG (OMV.VI), is the largest gas and oil producer in southeast Europe.
Wednesday, Romania’s government announced plans to sell 9.84% in OMV Petrom and 15% in each of the companies Transelectrica (TEL.RO), Transgaz (TGN.RO) and Romgaz.
