Romania To See Massive Political Class Changes After Nov Elections – President

Local election results in Romania prove that reform of the political class has started and massive changes will take place at the legislative elections in November, Romanian president Traian Basescu told Deutsche Welle radio in an interview Monday.

"The information I have now on the results of local elections shows that many young politicians were elected heads of county councils and mayors, which proves the reformation of the political class has started and I am convinced a massive change will occur after the parliament elections in November, under the uninominal voting system,” Basescu said.
 
He added “things are moving forward”.
