Volvo has recalled 65,000 XC70 and V70 units worldwide, the car importer said.
It mentioned Volvo XC70 and V70 models might register a possible problem with the software in the lateral systems of the airbags. In the event of a collision, the airbags are not activated as quickly as they should be, the importer said.
Volvo XC70 is available for trading on the Romanian market starting with last fall. The V70 model was not launched in Romania.
In February, EIT-Forum Auto issued a recall for 30 Volvo S40 and V50 models manufactured between 2004 and 2006 because of a problem with a fuel pump. The measure was part of a Volvo recall that included 80,000 units worldwide.
EIT-Forum Auto sold 824 cars in 2007, up 76.8% against 466 units sold in 2006.
