Transelectrica’s new general manager is Adrian Baicusi, while Romgaz will be headed by Marcel Piteiu.

"I designated Adrian Baicusi today (e.n. – Friday) and Marcel Piteiu yesterday (e.n – Thursday)," Videanu said.

He added that other general managers of Economy Ministry-majority owned companies were not replaced so far.

Contacted by MEDIAFAX, former Romgaz’ general manager Francisc Toth said he has not received the official notification on his replacement, while Transelectrica’s Stelian Gal could not be reached for comments.

Adrian Baicusi was Siemens Romania’s general manager until June 2008.

Piteiu was head of Romgaz’s exploitation department until being designated as the company’s general manager.
