The six libraries can be found in Bucharest’s main train station, in Iasi, Suceava, Alba Iulia, Sibiu and Sinaia.

“This is an original project and I hope it will remind people of the pleasures of reading a book,” on Saturday said transports minister Ludovic Orban at the opening of the library in Bucharest’s Gara de Nord train station.

Travelers in any of these six train stations will be able to enjoy volumes of contemporary writers such as Ana Blandiana, Augustin Buzura, Dan Mircea Cipariu, Nicolae Prelipceanu, Cassian Maria Spiridon.

The books were donated by the Writers Union and the libraries are part of the project entitled “Writers on the railroad,” developed and supported by the Royal House.
