Boc said last week, after the social democrat ministers left the government coalition, the Executive will continue to reduce expenses in the central administration.
Boc said back then the decision of the social democrats to leave the center-left government coalition is an opportunity to cut expenses and make the administrative apparatus work more efficiently.
Boc also said he would propose each ministry to have only two secretaries of state to operate a substantial cost cut.
In June, the Government decided ministries’ staff be reduced by 20%, which means scrapping 417 jobs. The draft law regulating this aspect was approved by the Chamber of Deputies, but is still under debate in the Senate.
