Romania’s meteorological authorities (ANM) issued Sunday yellow code warning forecasting heavy rain countrywide Sunday night through Tuesday morning.

The quantity of rain will exceed in some areas 50-60 liters per square meter.

The emergency center with the Environment Ministry sent out yellow code warning to prefect offices in 21 counties after the meteorological authorities announced heavy rain countrywide.

The targeted counties are Arges, Brasov, Botosani, Buzau, Caras-Severin, Covasna, Dambovita, Galati, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Iasi, Mehedinti, Neamt, Prahova, Sibiu, Suceava, Valcea, Vrancea and Vaslui.
