Romanian Rompetrol Cuts Diesel Oil Price For 2nd Time This Week

Romania’s second-largest oil group Rompetrol, owned by Kazakhstan's KazMunayGaz, will cut Saturday its diesel oil prices by 0.04 lei (EUR1=RON4.2436) per liter, for the second time in just two days.

On Thursday, Rompetrol reduced diesel oil prices by RON0.02 per liter, while gasoline prices were decreased by RON0.04 per liter.

As of Saturday, one liter of Alto 55 type diesel oil will cost RON4.07, while Efix type will cost RON3.78 per liter.

The prices of Efix 95 and Alto 101 gasoline will remain at RON3.99 and RON4.6 per liter, respectively, Rompetrol said in a press release.

The prices of fuel sold in the Rompetrol Downstream gas stations may vary by +/- 5%, compared with the reference prices.

Romania’s largest oil company Petrom (SNP.RO) also cut two times the diesel oil price this week. On Thursday, Petrom cut its diesel oil prices by RON0.03 per liter, after reducing them just the day before by another RON0.03/liter.
