Turner Broadcasting Opens Bucharest Office

Turner Broadcasting System (TBS, Inc.), a Time Warner company, has opened an office in Romania’s capital city Bucharest in line with its expansion strategy in Central and Eastern Europe, the company said in a statement Monday.

Turner appointed Cristina Valasutean distribution manager with the Bucharest office. Valasutean will be in charge with overseeing daily operations and increasing distribution figures in Romania, the statement noted.

Valasutean has worked for several years with HBO Romania.

Turner Broadcasting System creates and programs branded news, entertainment, animation and young adult media environments on television and other platforms for consumers around the world.

The company’s network includes CNN, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, TCM (Turner Classic Movies), Nuts TV and Adult Swim.
