The decision is not final and can be appealed at the Bucharest Court of Appeals.

FRF’s treasurer Vasile Filimon told reporters Wednesday the RON17 million damages represent the percentage Romanian Lottery owes the federation for the past seven years, in accordance with the Sports Law 69/2000.

Under the law, FRF is to receive 20% annually of the Lottery’s revenues from “Pronosport” and “Pariloto” sports bets, Filimon said.
