Twenty-Seven Counties Under Code Yellow Warning For Strong Winds
Romania’s National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued a new code yellow warning on Monday for strong winds, available for 27 counties until Wednesday, with speeds to reach even 120 km/h in mountain areas.

The warning will be in effect between Monday, 14.00 local time and Wednesday, 20.00, and will see the affected areas also affected by snowfall and mixed precipitations. Wind speeds will generally register an average 45-60 km/h, with higher speeds expected on Wednesday.
The areas expected to be most affected will be the mountain areas of Satu Mare, Maramures, Salaj, Suceva, Bistrita-Nasaud, Neamt, Harghita, Mures, Brasov, Covasna, Prahova, Dambovita, Arges, Valcea, Mehedinti, Gorj, Sibiu, Alba, Cluj, Bihor, Arad, Timis, Caras Severin, Hunedoara, Bacau, Vrancea and Buzau counties.
The strongest phenomena is expected to hit the Southern Carpatian area, with winds reaching up to 100-120 km/h, temporary snowstorms and significantly lowered visibility.
