Two Dead In Blast At Chemical Plant, C Romania

According to the head of the local emergency inspectorate, Stelian Rechitean, the remains of the two people were found near the crematory. The two workers were the only ones in the area when the blast occurred, according to information provided by the inspectorate. 

 

The blast was not followed by a fire and the intervention team is investigating the cause of the incident.

 

Rechitean said the unit cremating py7rotechnical waste belonged to a private firm and was entirely destroyed in the blast.

 

"Nothing is left on the site of the explosion, it destroyed everything and, at a first sight, we can’t tell what caused the blast. We need a thorough investigation to determine the causes,” he said.
