Two Lorry Drivers Dead Following Collision In Caras-Severin County

The crash happened on national road DN6, near the township of Ilova, Caras-Severin. The two vehicles collided head-on, with both drivers pronounced dead on impact, according to representatives of Caras-Severin County Police.

Following the crash, one of the vehicles caught fire, with flames rapidly spreading to the other lorry. Five fire trucks were deployed to contain the fire, while traffic in the area was suspended for several hours.

Caras-Severin Police Chief-Commissioner Dinu Nicorici told the local Radio Romania affiliate station that the two lorries involved in the crash were registered in Estonia and Bulgaria
