Speaking before the Parliament committees for public administration, industry and services, Udrea said many things need to be changed, because many constructions were built „chaotically” in Romania.
Udrea has been the country’s tourism minister since 2008 and Tuesday received the Parliament committees’ endorsement as Regional Development and Tourism in the country’s new government.
Udrea said many tourism projects would be completed following the union of the two ministries.
Udrea said her objectives for the new term include eliminating disparities between regions and „regional trans-border cooperation.” She also mentioned a series of projects to be carried out in 2010, among which, a tourist resort in the Parang-Petrosani mountain region, the development of the spa tourism infrastructure and building a ski resort in Covasna County.
Udrea also said she plans to develop the southern side of the Black Sea coast, in a bid to reduce the gap between the southern side and the northern side.
