In the statement, USLM stated that public subway company Metrorex presented an erroneous account of the Bucharest Court’s decision, stating that the court rejected both the union’s request to continue strike actions, but also other actions requested by the company in this regard.
Metrorex previously announced that the Bucharest Court declared the union’s warning strike from last Thursday illegal.
The union states that it is open to negotiations, especially since there are rumors that the ruling party could replace Transportations Minister Lucian Sova on Monday.
The strike is due to take place between 04.00 and 16.00 local time, starting with Wednesday, and will continue indefinitely until a new collective bargaining agreement is signed, according to the union.
