All trains in Romania will be halted between 7 and 9 a.m..

The seven-hour negotiations held Tuesday failed to convince railway unionists to give up their plan to stage a warning strike, said union federation leader Gheorghe Fratica.

Fratica said last week railway workers will stage a warning strike discontent they have not signed new collective work contracts. He added the warning strike may be called off if contracts are signed by March 16.

Also on March 16, the country’s major trade union federations are expected to stage an ample rally in capital Bucharest, as the Government faces a new vote of no-confidence in Parliament over new labor laws.
