For the entire week, a paper roll longer than 300 meters will circulate in local schools for children to write their requests for Santa. Each child will begin by asking Santa to get grown-ups to save forests and protect the environment.
The children also hope to make the Guiness Book of World Records for the longest letter ever addressed to Santa Claus. The entire operation will be supervised by a notary public.
The campaign is an initiative of the Romanian Post Office and the local school inspectorate.
The giant letter will be sent on December 18 to Santa Claus, Arctic Circle, 96930, Rovaniemi, Finland – Santa’s official "residence".
