Code Yellow Storm Advisory For N, E Romania On Sunday-Monday

Romanian meteorologists have issued a code yellow advisory for rain, sleet, snow and strong winds for 20 counties, valid starting Sunday at 6 p.m. until Monday at 3 p.m.

Winds of over 60 km/h are expected in the eastern parts of the country, and of over 80-90 km/h in the mountains.

The mountains, as well as the center and eastern parts of Romania, will get heavy rainfall on Sunday, in excess of 20-25 liters per square meter.

The advisory will be in effect for counties Maramures, Suceava, Botosani, Bistrita-Nasaud, Harghita, Neamt, Iasi, Mures, Bacau, Vaslui, Sibiu, Brasov, Covasna, Vrancea, Galati and parts of Valcea, Arges, Dambovita, Prahova and Buzau.
