"Some countries have mountains but no beaches, others have just beaches and no mountains, and still have tourism. We have mountains and beaches, a history of over 2000 years and I don’t understand what we’re still missing to get the tourism sector running. I think we lack management, and Elena Udrea will succeed there,” Boc said at the taking over of portfolios by the minister of tourism and the minister of SMEs, commerce and business environment, Constantin Nita.

Boc added he wishes that, by the end of this government’s mandate, all Romanians who are now spending their vacations abroad because of the poor services in Romania will choose to spend their vacations in the country.

"Knowing Mrs. Udrea, I know she is persistent and she follows a goal to the end,” Boc said.

He reminded that the government will keep the 16% flat tax, which will stimulate the business environment.

On the other hand, in the context of the global crisis, Boc said the government will also provide social aid beside the support destined to the business environment.
