The Federation of Jewish Communities in Romania on Thursday filed an official complaint at the Ministry of Justice over desecration of several hundreds of graves in a Bucharest cemetery.

Vandals have desecrated some 200 graves, official sources said.
 
The Justice Ministry said in a statement it firmly condemns all anti-Semite, xenophobic and racist acts, and urged for immediate measures from the Public Ministry.
 
Police have launched an investigation in the case.
 
The vandals broke tens of tombstones, but no anti-Semite writing was found, police sources said.
