SNLO’s employees will receive 75% of their gross wages, plus seniority bonuses.
SNLO’s management, economy minster Adriean Videanu, minister of finance Gheorghe Pogea and the president of the National Agency for Tax Administration Sorin Blejner will approach this issue on May 31. The heads of SNLO’s trade unions will also attend the talks.
"Considering the reduced coal supply schedule in June and July, as well as the coal stock forecasted end-May, of about 800,000 tons, it was agreed upon suspending the production activity at SNLO’s subunits between June 15 and July 15, 2009," SNLO said.
During this period, the company will deplete its stocks and, upon resuming its operations, it will supply a monthly average quantity of 1.4 million tons as of August.
SNLO employs around 9,500 people.
