Romanian Magyar Party To Vote Against Govt In Parliament

The president of the Democratic Union of Magyars in Romania said Sunday in a press conference that the Magyar MPs will not vote in Parliament for a government that includes a party who "recklessly" and "strangely" rejected the inclusion of the Magyars in the government, namely PSD.

"I don’t see how we could vote for an entity that includes a party who, in my opinion, recklessly and strangely, rejects us," said the UDMR leader, asked if the Magyar MPs would vote for a PSD-PDL government.

"I don’t believe we could vote for the social democrats. If you give us a solution through which we could leave the social democrats out of the vote, then we can talk, but at the moment I don’t see us talking," Marko Bela said.

On the other hand, the politician said “things would be different” if the social democrats were to revise their stance and “come up with a different opinion and a different decision."
