Romania’s Rompetrol Ups Pump Prices By RON0.08/ Liter

The company will increase its Super Euro 5 diesel price to RON4.71 per liter and Efix Euro 4 diesel price to RON4.43 per liter.

One liter of Efix 95 gasoline will cost RON4.04, while one liter of Premium Euro 4 gasoline will cost RON4.08.

The price of Euro Super 98 gasoline also rose to RON4.66.

Romania’s largest oil company Petrom SA (SNP.RO) hiked last week gasoline and diesel oil pump prices by RON0.12 per liter.

Early this year, diesel oil pump prices exceeded gasoline prices, mainly due to the 5.6% excise hike as of January 1 and to the record oil prices registered on international markets.

Dutch-registered Rompetrol NV was bought by Kazakhstan’s KazMunaiGaz last year for an undisclosed sum. Rompetrol has an enterprise value of $3.6 billion, indicating KazMunaiGaz paid some $2.7 billion for a 75% stake in the company.
