Romania’s Forex Reserves Dn EUR92M In Feb To EUR25.9B

End-January, foreign exchange reserves of the National Bank of Romania stood at EUR26.009 billion.

The central bank said foreign-exchange inflows were EUR3.473 billion in February, while outflows totaled EUR3.565 billion.

In addition to its foreign-exchange reserves, the central bank reported holdings of 103.7 metric tons of gold, with a total market value of EUR2.484 billion.

Thus, the international reserves of Romania (foreign currencies and gold) at end-February stood at EUR28.401 billion.

In March 2009, the payments due on public and publicly guaranteed external debt amount to EUR112 million.
