Romanian PM Sends Salary Hike Effects Briefing To Pres
The letter only represents a briefing on the effects of this additional spending, official sources told MEDIAFAX.
The information was later confirmed by Tariceanu, who said the document can help the president in the analysis and conclusions regarding the economic impact of these measures.
"If we enact these measures, we kill Romanian economy. It is not a good measure, it will ruin the economy," Tariceanu said.
Prime Minister Tariceanu said Monday that President Basescu asked him for additional data regarding the economic impact of salary hikes in education, pension hikes for labor groups I and II and the aid for mothers, before making a decision regarding these measures.
