Opposition party leaders will hold talks with unions and employers on new labor legislation Tuesday.

Prime Minister Emil Boc said Monday ruling coalition leaders proposed that the Government should seek lawmakers’ confidence vote to adopt new labor legislation. He added that the matter will be discussed with ruling parties’ MPs.

Talks with national minority group lawmakers took place on Monday afternoon and a meeting with Hungarian minority party and Democratic Liberal Party MPs is scheduled for Tuesday.

The prime minister said negotiations with social partners will continue. He pointed out that the amendments brought by lawmakers to the Labor Code will also be taken into account.
